Alicante Appointment FAQ

Why is Torrevieja so hard to book?

Torrevieja has one of Spain’s highest foreign-born populations. Many British and Scandinavian retirees live there. Try Elche or Alcoy instead.

What’s the difference between NIE, TIE, and EU Registration?

NIE is just a number (for non-residents doing business in Spain). TIE is the physical card for non-EU residents with a visa. EU Registration (green certificate) is for EU citizens living in Spain over 3 months. Different procedures, same booking portal.

Do Alicante offices have English-speaking staff?

Some staff in expat-heavy areas speak basic English, but don’t count on it. The process is mostly document review, so language barriers are manageable.
